EcoTourism Lithuania is a webpage dedicated to promote ecotourism in Lithuania and raise an awareness about sustainable way of travelling. The page also promotes general tourism in Lithuania and provides information about places to visit for tourists. 

Ecotourism is a form of tourism involving visiting fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often small scale alternative to standard commercial (mass) tourism. Its purpose may be to educate the traveler, to provide funds for ecological conservation, to directly benefit the economic development and political empowerment of local communities, or to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights.

 

 

EcoTourism Lithuania was launched in 2013. Our team is made up of mainly Lithuanian people living abroad but very passionate about their country and it's conservation. The page mainly aims to show the world the beuty of its countryside and various places that are not touched by the mass tourism. 

 

We want to provide tourists with as much information as possible about ecotourism in Lithuania, suggest various destinations, alternative ways of travelling and places to stay and visit while here.
